Obituary

Alvin T. Gallant lovingly called "The Professor" 76, of Conway, SC passed away Thursday November 9, 2017 .

Alvin was born April 25, 1941 in St. Joseph, Missouri a son of the late Thomas K. and Alice (Mignery) Gallant. Alvin was also predeceased by a sister Claudia Fish, and infant brother Jerry Gallant.

Alvin was enlisted in the U.S. Army for over 20 years, where he served as an Electronics Engineer. He designed electronic componets for the Patriot Missles during the Gulf War.

Alvin was the loving father of three children Caroline Murphy of Florida, Brian "Spanky" Koehnen of Myrtle Beach,SC, and Dana and Husband Brian Pulley of Conway,SC; His loving wife of 39 years Dagmar Gallant; sisters Clara Mae "Kitty" Kilgore, Mary McCune, and Carol Russell; brother Emile Gallant; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; a host of loving nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express many thanks to Regency Health of Florence, SC, especially to "our rock, Heidi" and his favorite nurse David Hill.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Puente De Salvacion Church 1086 33rd Ave. South North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
