Andrea Rae Cribb, 75, of Murrells inlet, SC, passed away on 05 August 2023 at her home with her daughter Crystal holding her hand and family surrounding her. She was born to parents Virgil Hooe and Mary Hooe, on 28 July 1948 in Sullivan, IL .

She graduated from Sullivan High School in 1966.

She went on to study at Grand Rapids Educational Center for her degree as a Registered Medical Assistant.

Andrea ran a cleaning service for over 20 years. She had many clients who adored her and that she loved. She truly enjoyed the work and helping her clients out with many things. She had too many clients to mention.

Andrea met Edwin H Cribb Jr in 1970. They were married on April 15th 1970 in Orangeburg,SC. Together they raised 3 children: Cliff Cribb, Crystal Smillie and Keith Cribb.

She is survived by 3 siblings Sharon( Jerry) Andrews of Decatur, IL; Virgil ( Liz) Hooe of Anchorage, AK and David ( Maricella) Hooe of Glendale, AZ.

Andrea is survived by her children Fonda ( Matt) Elder and of Sullivan, IL, Misty Branch of Plainview, AR; Crystal Smillie and partner Richard McDade of Myrtle Beach, SC, Keith Cribb and his wife Jennifer Cribb of Murrells Inlet, SC. Grandchildren Ricky Weitz(Elizabeth) of Portage MI; Danny Weitz (Anya) of Killeen TX; Josh Elder(Georgia) of Grovetown, GA; Heather Nolen (Corey) of Urbana, IL; Cody Mcdade of Myrtle Beach, SC; Caroline McDade and fiancee Shevy Gatten of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jody Branch (Esther) of Dardanelle,AR; Emma Yost (Alex); Skylar Fliger(Nathan) and Lily Cribb. Great grandchildren Colton and Killian Weitz; Freya and Oliver Weitz; Zaylee McDade; Lex, Clark and Launa Schwartz; Jayden and Justin Elder; Skylar and Carter Branch. Ann Massengale (sister in law) and many neices and nephews.

She also leaves behind her loving companion dog Leonardo. From the time she got him he went everywhere with her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Edwin H. Cribb Jr, her son Cliff Cribb,her father Virgil Hooe, her mother Mary Carnine,step father Arthur Carnine and great grandson Jace Weitz.

She was a loving and caring person. Whenever you seen her she would have a smile on her face, no matter what she had going on in her life.

The family has entrusted Grand Strand Funeral Home and Crematory with the cremation. She requested not to have a service. Her immediate family will have a gathering to reminisce. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Andrea to St. Francis Animal Center.
