Annie May Townsend, age 87 years old, of Conway SC., went home to be with the Lord on July 20, 2019 at her home. Born May 5, 1932 to the late Malcolm and Doris Thompson in Toronto, Canada. Annie was the widow of the late David Stanley Townsend.
She is predeceased by her husband, David S. Townsend;sister, Myrtle Thompson Milley;brother,Malcolm (Mack) Thompson;brother, Harold (Sonny) Thompson.
She is survived by three daughters, Janet Vehorn (Ronnie), Karen Porter (Gary), Jennifer Mixson (Drexel);seven grandchildren, Luke Vehorn, Abbie Morris, Lauren Spencer, Amanda Prince, Paula Thompson, CJ Creel, and Taylor Creel;13 great grandchildren, Harrison, Jack, Henry, Emma, Marley, Kaitlyn, Gavin, Ethan, Jackson, Preston, Lexton, Mason, and Elizabeth;and sisters, Linda Thompson, Margaret Thompson Ross, and Audrey Thompson, brothers, Robert Thompson, and John (Jack) Thompson.
She was a devoted wife and mother, loving grandmother, and a true Proverbs 31 woman.
On Thursday July 25, 2019 there will be a visitation from 2pm and service to follow at 3pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 6907 Hwy 905, Conway SC, 29526 presided by Pastor Mack Hutson. Please send flowers or memorial gifts to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
