Arthur Richard Monk, 84, of Murrells Inlet, SC, beloved husband of Judith (Higgins) Monk for 60 years, passed away peacefully at his home on January 23rd, 2018, surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for and loved. He was predeceased by his parents, Vera (Soper) Monk and Maurice Monk.
Arthur was born on December 30th, 1933 in Palmyra, Michigan, a son to the late Maurice and Vera Monk. Arthur lived most of his life in Michigan. During his working years, he spent his time working as a factory worker. Arthur loved fishing, being outdoors, doing wood work and doing many things spending time with his family.
Besides his wife Judy, Arthur is survived by his son Richard Monk, two daughters Anita (Monk) Lockridge and Patricia (Monk) Brunton; his grandchildren Katy, Alicia, Alexis and Charlie; and his great-grandchildren Mason, Kathryn, Josh and Camden.
Arthur will be forever loved and his memory will always be cherished by those who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
