Barbara Ann Campbell Vargo, 87, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, passed away at The Palmettos of Garden City, on Saturday, March 26, 2022.

Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Barbara was a graduate of Harding High School.  She met her husband, Kenneth Vargo and moved to raise her family in New Brunswick, New Jersey for 40 years.

Barbara went on to work for the City of New Brunswick Payroll Department until her retirement 1994. She and her husband moved to Hemlock Farms, PA enjoying the serenity of living on beautiful Elm Lake in the Poconos.  She enjoyed travelling, reading, sewing, games, dancing, fashion and shopping.

Barbara was a devoted wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, cherishing time spent with her family.  Predeceased by her parents Harry and Emma Campbell, husband Kenneth (married 47 years) and son Daniel Vargo.  She is survived by her brother Robert Campbell, sons Ken Vargo Jr. and Scott Vargo, daughter Carol and Bernie Peterson; and her grandchildren Michael and Heather Peterson, Nicole and John DeMerchant.

Barbara will be truly missed by family members and friends.  Her endless caregiving, pleasant personality and sense of humor was contagious to everyone she met.  Barbara was a member of Belin Methodist Church.  Family will gather for a private Celebration of Life in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
