Barbara Tierney Kobza was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, godmother, and friend to so many. It is with great sadness that we let the world know she was suddenly taken from us on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the age of 69.

Barbara was born to Rosemary Strafino Tierney and Richard Tierney on September 7th, 1953. Together with her loving husband, Bela Kobza, they built themselves a happy life starting in New Jersey and finally settling down in Surfside Beach, SC.

Barbara lived her life for others in the truly most giving spirit. Her thoughtful and loving lifestyle created a family of friends wherever she went. So much so that most of her loved ones that lived in New Jersey now live in South Carolina. It is one of the most supportive communities of friends you will ever find and much of it is due to Barbara.

Barbara is survived by her husband Bela Kobza, children Brian Kobza and Vicki True, four beautiful grandchildren, her sister Annmarie Quillan Potter, extended family, and those closest to her, especially her best girlfriend, John.
