Barbara Dunn Steinhoff, 90, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025 at Embrace Hospice House, Myrtle Beach, SC.

Barbara was born on March 29, 1935 in Rochester NY.  She grew up on the family farm in Henrietta, NY, and he was the daughter of Robert and Gertrude Dunn.  Her career was spent teaching math, primarily pre-calculus.  She truly loved math and was happy to tutor anyone that she could assist.  Most of her teaching career was at The Dana Hall School in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

She was a companion and caretaker to her dear friend Charlotte Laubi, who passed away in November of 2024.  Upon Charlotte's death, Barbara moved to South Carolina to be closer to her family.

Barbara was the mother of Karin Heustess (Tim) and Eric Steinhoff (Crystal).  Her siblings were Robert Dunn (deceased ) and Molly Hood (Richard).  She is also survived by a granddaughter Allie Ford (Miller) and grandson by marriage, Nick Lueck.

Barbara's church family meant the world to her and supported her to the end.  A service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 91 Jordan Road, Franklin MA on May 3rd at 11:00 am.  Memorials may be made to the church.
