Brenda Sherman Bryan, 76, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, went to her heavenly home on July 19, following a short but courageous battle with cancer. There, she was reunited with the love of her life, her husband, Thomas "Tom Tom" Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nathan and Hattie Worley; her parents, Thomas and Gladys Sherman; her beloved husband, Thomas Bryan; her brother, Bobby Sherman; her brother-in-law, Roger Hayes; and her dear friend, Sandra Scoles.

Brenda is survived by her children, Theresa and Christopher Ogle of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Bud and Lauren Jones of Cleveland, Tennessee. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Caleb Jones and Sara Craige of Charleston, South Carolina; Noah Jones and Parker Jones of Freeport, Florida; Hannah Jones of Cleveland, Tennessee; and Sadie Jones of Cleveland, Tennessee.

She is also survived by her siblings, Carolyn and Robert Slagle of Old Fort, North Carolina; Annette Hayes of Summerville, South Carolina; and Jerry and Vickie Sherman of Old Fort, North Carolina. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, Angie Timms and Chelsae Sherman; her nephew, Travis Sherman; and her special friends, James Scoles of Old Fort, North Carolina, Hazel Holland of Marion, North Carolina, and Belle Morrison of Gastonia, North Carolina.

Brenda was a devoted member of Rushing Winds Ministries and a faithful believer in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her greatest joy was her family, and she was fiercely devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was immensely proud of her children, Theresa and Bud, and celebrated each of her grandchildren's unique gifts and accomplishments: Caleb's academic excellence, Noah's engineering career, Hannah's athletic ability and heart for ministry, and Sadie's passion for sports and love of animals.

Brenda spent her career in the service industry, where her warm spirit and genuine kindness brought joy to countless customers, many of whom became lifelong friends. Outside of work, she was a champion bowler, a blue-ribbon baker, and an avid gardener who found peace in the outdoors. Above all, Brenda had an extraordinary love for animals. She raised Rottweilers, welcomed countless strays into her home, and lovingly nursed many animals back to health.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Souffles in North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, August 15, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Her ashes will be laid to rest alongside those of her beloved husband, Thomas, at Old Ebenezer Cemetery in Old Fort, North Carolina, on Sunday, August 16.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Brenda's honor to the American Cancer Society or the Grand Strand Humane Society of Myrtle Beach.
