In Loving Memory of Carla Veronica Bell "Carly"

Carla Veronica Bell, lovingly known as Carly, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on May 15, 2026, at Charleston Medical University in Charleston, South Carolina.

Carly was born on October 28, 1971, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She lived a life full of joy and happiness, marked by love, kindness, and devotion to those she held dear. Her favorite place in the world was the beach. She found peace in the fresh ocean breeze, the sound of the waves, and the beauty of the shoreline. Being close to the ocean brought her comfort and happiness, and it became a reflection of the free spirit she carried throughout her life.

Above all else, Carly loved her husband, family, and friends dearly. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who always put others before herself. She was dedicated to her work and took great pride in her job, but her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends, especially enjoying days on the beach surrounded by those she loved.

Carly is survived by her oldest son, Michael Fontaine and his wife, Susan Fontaine; her beloved grandchildren, Mekah, Kylen, Reese, and Tyler; and the family's first great-grandchild who is on the way. She is also survived by her youngest son, Chaune Hall and his wife, Sarah; and her cherished grandchildren, Adalynn and Rosalee. Carly is further survived by her sisters, Crystal Martin and Lisa Martinez, and her brother, Joshua Ward.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Bell; her parents, Gloria Enrekin and Leslie Walker; her brothers, Dennis Williams and Mark Walker; and her sister, Tracey Higdon.

Those who knew Carly will remember her infectious laughter that could fill an entire room, her unforgettable presence on the dance floor, and the kindness and love she wrapped around everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her warmth, generosity, and caring heart touched countless lives and created memories that will be treasured forever.

A memorial service celebrating Carly's life will be held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in September 2026. Additional details regarding the service will be announced and shared once finalized.

Though gone from our sight, Carly's love, memory, and legacy will remain in our hearts forever. Her spirit will live on in every ocean breeze, every crashing wave, and in the hearts of all who loved her.

Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed.
