Englewood, Colorado……………………Casey James Smith

Casey J. Smith, age 30, formerly of Murrells Inlet, a son of Randall and Dawn (Freeman) Smith, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his parents.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was residing currently in Englewood, Colorado.  Casey attended both St. James and Waccamaw High Schools.   He loved music and currently was a Plumber Apprentice, working toward licensure.  He moved to Englewood, Colorado in 2018 to expand both his potential and his life.  He flourished in Colorado, running a small business, also meeting and beginning a relationship with his girlfriend Sara there.  A loyal and true friend, he leaves many to cherish his memory.

He was predeceased by his older brother, Cody this past year.

Surviving Casey are his parents: Randy and Dawn (Freeman) Smith of Murrells Inlet, and a sister, Tiffany Tucker and her husband Kenny of Simpsonville, SC.  In addition, a niece, Ellie Tucker also survives.

Due to the Covid pandemic, memorial services will be held and announced at a later date.

Grand Strand Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
