Obituary

It is with profound sorrow, yet immense gratitude for a life vibrantly lived, that we announce the passing of Celeste Ann Altman, fondly known to close friends and family as "Toots." Born on December 22, 1967 in Montebello, CA. Celeste lived a life characterized by her generosity, spirited nature, and deep devotion to her family. After a life spent working in the medical field, Celeste's service to others was her life's melody, a symphony of love that touched the hearts of many.

Celeste was an extraordinary nurse who dedicated over 20 years of her life to providing care for patients around the country. She began her medical career in Horry County as an EMT and later received her nursing degree which took her all over the country as a traveling nurse.
Her thoughtful and empathetic nature made her a cherished pillar within the medical community and a beacon of inspiration to colleagues and patients.

Outside of work, Celeste's spirit thrived in being the matriarch of her family. Her favorite past times included spending time with her children and grandchildren, where she loved playing board games, cards and hosting family movie nights. She also enjoyed crafting, kayaking and riding motorcycles with her husband, John.

Preceded in death by her grandmother (Mamo) Anita Ellen Mortimer, her mother, Celeste Ann Williams, her brother, Michael Williams and her beloved Pomeranian, Furbie, she now joins them in eternal peace.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Altman, her children Kay Walker, Bradley Walker and his wife, Maranda, Jarod Altman, Levi Altman and his wife, Kristian, her nephew David King and his wife, Jessica, her grandchildren, her great nephews as well as many cherished friends and chosen family.

The family will hold a celebration of life to honor her memory in the weeks to follow.
