Corinne Elizabeth
Decicco
May 13, 2023
Beloved mother, sister, aunt, treasured friend and companion.
Passed away on May 13,2023 in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on what would have been her mother's 102nd birthday.
Born in West Orange, New Jersey to Warwick and Virginia Telfair, she attended Saint Elizabeth's Academy. Corinne lived in South Orange NJ and Warren NJ before moving to Tidewater in North Myrtle Beach in 1998.
Corinne was predeceased by her parents Warwick McNair Telfair and her cherished mother Virginia "Ginnie" "Legs" Geils Telfair with whom she was extraordinarily close as well as her sister Nancy Simonton who was her best friend, confidante, partner in crime, and Yahtzee rival.
Corinne was predeceased by her loving husband Richard DeCicco whom she married at the age of 20 and shared a beautiful life and children before his untimely passing 30 years ago.
She was predeceased by her love Jim Caffrey with whom she began to rebuild her life and start a new chapter in North Myrtle Beach.
She will be greatly missed by her many friends, and her companion of 17 years Corben Paris who affectionately called her "Lovey" and with whom she travelled to Paris and shared many adventures.
She leaves behind her two children, Carey Paris and husband David and Rick DeCicco & wife Celeste along with five grandchildren, Ginnie Rae, Chloe Jane, Charlie Richard, Sophia Rose, and Dominic Avellino.
She leaves behind her beloved sister Ginger Outor and her daughter Tracey Perry, husband Michael and their daughters Marley and Meadow with whom she loved to FaceTime.
She has left behind her beloved niece as close as a daughter, her dear Alison Waeschle and her husband Eric and their daughter Charlotte DeMille to whom Corinne was considered to be a grandma.
In the early days of her marriage, Corinne worked part time as a dental assistant but was home all summer to be with her children when they were young. It was at the dental office where she met her lifelong friends Judie and Marv Goldstein.
She also worked as a freelance artist painting keepsakes for a local boutique.
She was an optimistic, beautiful, and sweet natured soul. Known for her beauty, she was a party girl who loved sad county music and dancing. County music was always playing on her radio in her kitchen. Willie Nelson, Don Williams, and George Straight were some of her favorites and she had a special place in her heart for Alan Jackson.
She was full of grace and poise, and always impeccably dressed and sweetly perfumed, but with an occasional twinkle in her eye and a dirty joke on the sly.
She was a prolific and exceptionally talented artist. Corinne's art includes watercolors, collages and mixed media pieces that often incorporate literary elements and pearls of wisdom.
Her art speaks to the sweet natured and giving way that she lived her life, with a thoughtful card in the mail and a few words of encouragement to a friend in need.
The legacy of the beauty she portrayed in her work will continue to be a comfort to her family and friends.
Corinne leaves behind her sweet tabby cat Deena Marie who will continue to be well cared for by her family. She was predeceased by her cat Brad, an orange tabby who was an easygoing guy who loved to stretch out and touch people's hands and enjoyed his treats.
A mass and memorial service in Corinne's honor to celebrate her life is being planned for early August with further details to be announced.
Donations in Corinne's memory may be made to The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach where Brad and Deena were adopted.
