Daniel Damon Riney Jr passed away at home peacefully on July 6, 2023.

Daniel was born in Detriot, Michigan to Daniel D. Riney Sr and Margaret DeWitt on May 29, 1941. He was a teacher and football coach at a number of schools including, Our Lady of Lourdes and Gabriel Richard in Michigan. He loved being a football coach and enjoyed shepherding young people on the football field and in the classroom. From his early years, he had a keen interest in philosophy and constantly discussed the underlying nature of things. He tried new foods and restaurants at every opportunity and adored spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his parents Daniel and Margaret; and siblings Tim, Kevin, and Christine.

He is survived by his wife Hopelyn; sons Mark, Kevron, Shamar, Oshane; daughters Kerry, Amy, Shauna-Kae; brothers Mike, Dennis, Bill, Terry; and sister Mary; as well as many grandchildren, cousins and other relatives.

There will be a private service for immediate family members.
