David Allan Cyr was born on February 12, 1951 in Spencer, Massachusetts. After high school and some college David joined the Navy and was stationed in Charleston SC. Traveling for golf brought him to Myrtle Beach where he met Betty; later marrying her and becoming step father to DJ, Andy, and Jennifer Roberts. Before welcoming a daughter together, Katie.

David was the proud pappy of seven grandchildren. Kyle Reynolds, Alex, Wesley, Jay, and Bella Stutts, Zelda and Isaac Mateo. And father in law to Christian Mateo.

David enjoyed watching Patriots football games, playing golf, and he loved spending time with his family. He was a kind man, full of humor and pride. To know him was to love him and to love him was a blessing. David was called to heaven at 1:00AM on September 30, 2022.
A celebration of life will be held on October 7, 2022 at 2:00PM at Grand Strand funeral home and Crematory 9020 frontage road Murrells Inlet, SC
