Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Deborah "Debbi" Stevens at age 70, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Debbi touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit.

Born in Binghamton, New York, Debbi eventually settled in the Conway and Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina for over two decades. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, such as traveling, creating cherished memories with her family, capturing those moments in photographs and home videos, and dancing joyfully in the kitchen with her beloved husband, Dennis Stevens. Their enduring bond was a testament to their lifelong love and companionship.

Debbi was preceded in death by Dennis, her mother Edna Luce, and twin grandsons Emmett and Sawyer Hilburn. She is survived by her father John R. Luce, Sr.; siblings Bonnie (Morris) Mann, Patricia Breason, Frances Gregory, Rosemary (Richard) Chase, Jennifer Rice, John R. Luce, Jr., and Richard (Beverly) Luce; her children Sara (Bill) Frost, Susan Wayman, Taylor (Bruce) Hilburn, Thomas Stevens and Paula Ryan-Alvarez; and her grandchildren Joshua Reid, Isaiah Reid, Matthew Reid, Blake Frost, Liam Frost, Olivia Frost, Thomas Wayman, Timothy Wayman, Trinity Wayman, Mila Hilburn, Orion Hilburn, Dejonte Woodberry, Jurnee Jones, and Raven Bunton.

Debbi will be remembered for her generous heart, love of family, and the warmth she shared with all. Her home was always open, filled with good food, hospitality, and care. She had a deep love for gardening and nurturing relationships.

Her legacy is one of love, unity, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Above all, family was her greatest joy, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
