Edward Joseph McMenamin, age 77, also known as Dad, Big Time, Fast Eddie, Big Ed, Papa Ed and GrandPop, passed away on May 31, 2020 in South Carolina.

Ed was born on October 6, 1942 to Catherine and Neil McMenamin in Philadelphia. He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne, six children and spouses, sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother.

Following graduation from Cardinal Dougherty High School, he was employed by AT&T and worked there until he retired.

What people will remember most about Ed McMenamin is his big smile, kind heart and sweet spirit. He had something nice to say to everyone. He taught his children and grandchildren how to always look on the bright side, be patient and generous, and enjoy life. He loved to cheer them on at their sporting events.

Proud of his Irish heritage, Ed was a golf enthusiast with a 10:18 tee time, loved boating and fishing, enjoyed a good poker game, but really had a good time no matter what he was doing. He had a sweet tooth for ice cream and chocolate, told great jokes and made people laugh. He was devoted to his family and loyal to his friends and will be missed every day.
