Eric Lydell Trotter Sr died on May 26, 2023

Eric was born in Troy, NY on July 19, 1971. Eric was described as a big grumpy teddy bear. He was stern on the outside but once you got to know him, he was very loveable. He loved his family, but his grandkids were his pride and joy. He was selfless and humble and would go out of his way to do anything for someone he loved. Eric had many hardships in his life, but he was a hard worker and always persevered. He loved to travel and he loved to go on cruises with his late wife Gina. He was the biggest fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved to golf. He was very loyal to his friends. Even in his death, he was a hero as an organ donor. His wisdom will live on through his children and grandchildren for generations. He will never be forgotten.

Eric served in the army for a short time. He always worked in the auto industry. He loved it and never wanted to do anything else. He started as an oil changer at Precision Auto Tune and then worked his way up as a service advisor and service director. Most recently he moved to sales at Auto World in Conway.

Survivors include his son, Eric Trotter, Jr and his daughters, Alyssa Trotter, and Aaliyah Trotter, his grandchildren, Naomi, Grayson, Kaedence, and Niko. Brother Lee Wallace, significant other, Michele Dyer.

Eric is preceded in death by his loving wife, Gina Trotter, mother Catherine Trotter, stepfather Lee Wallace.

A celebration of Eric's life will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Palmetto Shores Church, 6250 Dick Pond Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588 with visitation to follow.
