Frances Virginia Jones (Ginny) of Surfside Beach,SC passed away on January 2nd 2024.

Ginny was born January 20th, 1959 to Martin Luther Pence Jr. and Dorothy Mae Pence in Fort Monroe, Virginia. Ginny was a graduate of Olympic High School in Charlotte ,NC. She moved to Fort Mill, SC in 1988 where she lived until moving to Surfside Beach in 2010,

Ginny was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her joy for cooking was a true act of love. She found peace and comfort sitting by the ocean with her feet in the sand. She was devoted to her faith and put all of her trust in the Lord.

Ginny was preceded in death by her husband Lee Jones, father Martin Pence, mother Dorothy Pence, and granddaughter Hope Wertz. She is survived by her daughter Jessica Wertz (Robert) of Great Falls, SC, sister Joanne Payne (Tom) of Winterville, NC , brother Marty Pence (Ruby) of Shelby, NC, brothers Gregg Pence of Sunset Beach, NC, and Steve Pence (Sharon) of Fort Mill, SC, grandson Chandler Wertz of Tucson ,AZ,  granddaughter Leah Wertz of Great Falls, SC, niece Michelle Harris (Craig) of Surfside Beach,SC, nephew Marty Pence IV (Tonya) of Shelby, NC, niece Emily Fountain (Ben) of Rock Hill, SC niece Sarah Pence of Fort Mill, SC, and her very special neighbors David and Betsy Sikes.

A celebration of life will be held at Discover Church 700 Hwy 17 S Bus-Suite E Surfside Beach, SC 29757 Saturday, January 6th at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St.Judes children's research hospital or Grand Strand Humane Society.
