George A. Higgins Jr. died unexpectedly and peacefully at MUSC in Charleston, SC on October 23rd, 2016 at the age of 75.

George was the Beloved Husband of Dolores (nee Draski), Loving Father of Rene (Matt) Bernacchi, Proud Papa of Isabella and Benjamin Bernacchi, Brother of Thomas (Marilynne) Higgins, Kathleen(Late Ernst) Wampola, Martin (Teri)Higgins, MaryBeth (Richard Pope) Higgins and the Admired and Loved Uncle of many Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his Father, Circuit Court Judge George A. Higgins Sr. and his Mother, Bernice (Kazlauskas) Higgins.

A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at 11:15 AM at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 South Wolf Road, Western Springs, Illinois.

The Family of George will be receiving guests in the Community Room of St. John of the Cross Churchbeginning at 10:00 AM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate George's life.
