Glenn R Davis, 78, of Socastee, SC, went home in peace on September 12th, 2023 at Grand Strand Hospital, surrounded by loving family.

He was born in Asheboro, NC, on June 9th, 1945. Son of the late Lillie and John Biedge Davis, of Asheboro, NC. He was the youngest of 13 brothers and sisters all of which preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Davis, of SC, his children Cheryl Fisher (husband - Greg), of SC and Brian Davis (wife - Kimberly) of SC, Grandchildren, Crystal Fisher of SC, Brandon Fisher of NC, Callie Davis of PA, Cody Davis of SC, and Aidan Davis of SC, and 3 Great Grandchildren. He also had numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam war and served in the Navy as a Sea-man which he followed up into the merchant Marines. He ended his working career as an Auctioneer specializing in antiques and collectibles. His hobbies were wood working, and keeping his love for antiques and knowledge about all that comes with them.

Glenn was known for his ability to cite names and places, for his interesting sense of humor, and for his knowledge in art. Every family get together always had bursts of laughter and smiles because of him. Anyone that knew him knew his signature move "Thumbs Up".
