Born February 15, 1954 in Richlands, VA left this world too soon on September 14, 2021 at the age of 67. Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She considered Myrtle Beach, SC to be her home as she had resided here for more than 20 years. She worked for many years at the Hampton Inn West of Myrtle Beach where met many wonderful people that became great friends. The lives of those who loved and cared for her will never be the same without her. Knowing she is now at peace and reunited with the loved ones she had lost and mourned will help give us comfort. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Harry Proffitt Sr and Mary Magdalene Proffitt of Richlands, VA and the love of her life Johnny Walker Thomas of Myrtle Beach, and her son Neal Thomas of Las Vegas, NV. Those left behind to cherish the memories they have of Gloria include her two daughters; Tammy Lee Davis and Nina Marie Buie; two grandchildren Courtney Christine Louise Ebling and London Gage Buie and one great granddaughter Ella Christine Ebling.; Three sisters; Connie Ward, Judith Brown, Leshia Johnson, two brothers Terry Proffitt and Michael Proffitt and wife Barbara and one special nephew Christopher Davis. We believe Gloria's final farewell to us all would be:
