Gregory J
Petrino
Mar 12, 1950 — Jun 19, 2026
Gregory J. Petrino, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, devotion, and unwavering commitment to his family.
Gregory shared 49 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Anna Petrino. Together they built a life centered on family and cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
He was a devoted father to his daughters, Holly Shirey (Heath Shirey), Kimberly Petrino, and Christine Petrino. Gregory took immense pride in his family and found great joy in watching his children and grandchildren grow and flourish.
Gregory was a loving and proud grandfather to Zakk Petrino, Lilli Petrino, James Lindsay, and Dominic Shirey. His grandchildren brought him endless happiness, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
He was a dear younger brother to Gerard Petrino, sharing a lifelong bond marked by many memories.
Gregory will be remembered for his resilience, kindness, sense of humor, and the love he shared so generously with those around him. A lifelong baseball fan, he loved cheering on the New York Mets and rarely missed an opportunity to watch a game or share his passion for the sport with family and friends.
Though his passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved him, his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched and the family he cherished above all else.
Gregory's love, guidance, and presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends.
May he rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
