Hazel Helen Nixon, Born March 19, 1938 (82), passed away peacefully on September 9, 2020 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Bolivia, N.C. Helen was daughter to Nicholas Robert and Flora Magdelana Moretz Blevins born in Boone, North Carolina. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Eugene Blevins, James Blevins, Ernest Wallace Blevins, Jack L. Blevins, and Charles L. Blevins, and former husband, Eugene Jennings Nixon. Surviving are her daughters; Cynthia Nixon Nantz and devoted son-in-law (Robert) of Calabash, N.C., Shari Jean May (Randy) of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Vicki Lynn Ivey, (Chip) of Gastonia, N.C, and Kimberly Ann Livoti (Vinnie) of Columbia, S.C. In addition, Helen leaves behind ten grandchildren; Stephen Eugene Nantz, Whitney Elyse and loving son-in-law Davi Cavalcanti, Jackson Wood May, Victoria Allyn May (Andrew Deese), Caroline Jennings May, Mallory Nicole Ivey, Spencer Leslie Ivey, Samantha Kristine Livoti, Dominic Jennings Livoti, Daniel Vincent Livoti, and Great Grandson, Maxwell Deese and soon "Baby" Cavalcanti.. A very Special "adopted daughter" Teresa Pate who made many trips to visit "Ma Helen" to sit, talk and pray with Mom. Also, adoring fluffy Bella Nantz. A "Celebration of Life" Service will take place in March of 2021 on Mom's birthday (Place to be determined). Lower Cape Fear Life has been a tremendous Life Support not only to Mom but Bob and Cyndy as well. We wish to thank Jordan Thompson, Kim Taylor and Missy Creech, as well as numerous other "Angels".
