Jackie Cornelius Mccants' Obituary
Jackie Cornelius McCants "Buffalo", passed away Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at his residence after a long illness.
He was the son of Thomas Paul and Katie Cannon McCants. He lived in Georgetown his entire life, working with his parents in the Lafayette Restaurant and later with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Department as Animal Control Officer. Jackie loved hunting, fishing, his dogs and barbecuing with friends.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy S. McCants (Marie), their children J.J., Isaac and Courtney and grandchildren Rosie and Ally, sisters Brenda M. Gordon (S.M.), Ginger M. Haithcock, niece Tammy M. Weaver, nephew Thomas M. Gordon (Kim) and several great-nieces and great-nephews, caregiver and friend Mark Schmidt and special friend John Edward Cherry. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Thomas Lavern McCants and nephews David Weaver and Homer Haithcock.
The family wishes to thank Amy and Jennifer of Hospice of S.C. for their care and concern during his illness.
