James Brooks (Arbogast)'s Obituary
On Saturday April 30th, 2022, James Brooks (Arbogast), loving husband, son, brother and father passed away at age of 61 at home surrounding by his loved ones.
James was born on May 21, 1960 in Grand Haven, MI to (late) George and Irene Arbogast. He received his Golf course management degree from the Golf Academy of America. He was a pro golfer and instructor for 30 years and worked with several PGA tour professionals. At retirement he enjoyed playing on the Sunbelt Senior tour traveling around the country. He married his devoted wife, best friend and love of his life, Dana Brooks May 3rd, 2014 in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Anyone that knew James could always find him on the golf course. He loved teaching young aspiring golfers and veterans .He was also a die hard Lions football and Tigers Baseball fan and loved his Volvo C70 convertible and his devoted dog Divot.
He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, beautiful baby blue eyes and his kind and compassionate spirit.
James was preceded in death by his father, George, and mother in law, Sharon Peldzus. He is survived by his wife Dana, his children, Justin, Jordan and Connor, mother Irene Arbogast, sister Terri (Arbogast) Start, niece, Kristin Start, nephew, Michael Start and precious grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at Klaassen Funeral home, Grand Haven, MI on May 21, 2022 at the at 11 o'clock a.m
in lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family for funeral expenses. Dana
