Rev. James Cantley (JC), 66, passed away on April 4, 2020, in Myrtle Beach, SC
Born on March 1, 1954, he was the son of the late Carmel Cantley and Glenda Cantley (Jenkins). He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rev. Deanna True (Cantley).
He loved fishing, hunting, shooting, NASCAR, football, music and working with his hands. His favorite pastime was playing with his great grandchildren.
He was a proud Veteran of the US Army, and an ordained minister of Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee. He devoted his life to living for the Lord and teaching his word.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 44 years, Ellie Cantley (Miller), son, Kreigh Hall, Jr (Maureen), daughter, Tammy Looney (Christopher), sisters, Carol and Sharon, as well as 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
JC put God first in everything he did. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of his life. He will be greatly missed. He touched so many lives through family and his walk with God.
Due to the current virus circumstances, a service cannot be held at this time. However, a Celebration of Life service will be held later at his church.
In lieu of flowers, memoriams can be made to his church, River of Life Church of God, 1112 Cox Ferry Rd., Conway, SC. 29526.
