JOHN ANDERSON DANLEY, JR., 64,  of Longs, S.C., previously of Falls Mills, VA., entered his new body gifted to him by God on Sunday April 23, 2023.

He was affectionately known as "Little Johnny." Johnny attended Graham High in Bluefield, VA. graduating with the class of 1977.  He excelled in all sports, especially football,   under the direction of the late Glenn Carlock.  He was in the gifted program and graduated from Southwest Virginia Community College in Claypool Hill, VA. earning a welding certificate he later used to work for Joy Manufacturing Company.  He earned his black belt in karate.  Johnny had a gift for hunting anything; in any way.  He spent countless days in the mountains alongside his favorite hunting partner, his Dad.  He was exceptional at calling turkeys.  Others would take him hunting to call one in for them.  In his later years, Johnny enjoyed music, bingo, playing rummy and community meals at the clubhouse in the park where he resided.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, John and Bea Danley of the home, one sister Karen Cundiff and her husband Michael of Bluefield, VA.  A daughter, Chandra Scott and a grandson, Ryan Scott of Tazewell, VA.  There will be no services, per his request.  The family would like to thank the community for the outpouring of support they have received.
