Jonathan "John" Wayne Carter, 55, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Nov. 29 2016, at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born, Aug. 8 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee, to L.C. "Lonnie" Carter and Lorene "Lorri" Heaton.
When John was 5 years old, the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he attended Spitalny Elementary and Maryvale High Schools.
He was mechanically inclined like his father, a "jack of all trades" and later in life a long haul truck driver. He loved his children dearly and was always the "Proud Papa" and acted like a first time parent with the birth of each one.
On Aug. 8 1987, John married Crystal Cunningham in Florence, Arizona and they had two boys and two girls.
On May 27 2008, he married Jennifer Maygarden in Alamogordo, New Mexico and they had two sons.
John was preceded in death by: his father, Lonnie; brothers, Michael and Daniel Carter.
He is survived by: his mother, Lorri Carter; step-mother, Gail Carter; sister, Pam Klein (Richard); brothers, Sam (Nancy); Lonnie (Cari); Joe (Joan); children, Charles, Alex, Courtnee, Britnee, Jonathan, Tomas; grandson Caillou; wife Jennifer; stepson, Cody.
He will be with us always and remain in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
