Our dear mother/"Nana" Josefa Nikolic, age 91, sadly left us on the special day of Easter morning March 31, 2024 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Josefa Nikolic was born in Madrid, Spain to Antonina San Julian and Alejandro Garcia.

She left her country as a young woman, took a train to Paris and met the love of her life. Josefa and her family courageously immigrated to the United States in the 1970's. Josefa was not only hard working, but sweet, caring, humble, virtuous, yet spunky. She enjoyed dancing, visiting family in Europe every summer, and Atlantic City. Josefa is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Nikola Nikolic.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne Major and granddaughters, Sara and Sofia, her sister and many nieces/nephews living in Spain, and lifelong friends that were like family to her. Her memories will live on every time we cook a paella, Spanish tapas, or make sangria. Josefa taught her family to cook, dance, and devoted her retirement to caring for her granddaughters.

"Nana" we will miss you and your smile. Your memory and spirit will live forever in our hearts.
