Joseph Michael Corso, 75, of Conway, SC passed away peacefully in his home on January 30th, 2017.
Joe was the beloved son of the late Dominic and Rosaria Corso. He was born in Queens, New York. Joe attended elementary school in Queens and then Hauppauge High School on Long Island, New York. He was on their football, track and wrestling teams. He graduated as Senior Boy Athlete. Joe attended Iowa Wesleyan College, Manatee Junior College inVenice, Florida and Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire.
Joe was an Officer with the New York City Police Department for 13 years and retired due to an injury. After rehabilitating himself, he and his family moved to New Hampshire to continue his career in law enforcement.
He served honorably as an officer with the Belmont Police Department and then as Lieutenant and Interim Chief for the Northfield Police Department before retiring. Joe kept busy by working for Coldwell Bankerin New Hampshire and then Century 21 in North Port, Florida.
Joe and Arlene wanted a quiet country life and found it in Conway, South Carolina.
Joe is survived by his wife Arlene, son David and his fiancee Jamie Klymn of Meredith, NH, son Joey Corso of Manchester, NH and daughter Dianna Corso Harper and her fiance James Binette of Belmont, NH, brother Frank Corso of Sarasota, Florida, nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends. Molly and Maggie Mae were his constant companions.
At Joe's request, there will be no formal service, just a gathering of friends and family at their home on Spring Beauty Drive in Conway, SC at a later date.
