Joseph E. Miley 68 of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away peacefully on April 29, 2017 at Conway Medical Center.
Joe was born February 19, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio a son of the late George and Jane (Fetsch) Miley.
A1967 graduate of Purcell High School in Cincinnati. Hegraduated fromOur Lady of Cincinnati College. In July 1973 he married the love of his life Jane (Deininger) Miley. Joe was a licensed funeral director and a professor at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science 1974-1978. He then worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years before returning to the funeral industry in South Carolina before retirement.
He loved spending time with his family, was an avidhunter, enjoyedfishing and playing the guitar with friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years Jane Miley; son Charles Allen Miley (Robin Bennette); daughter Katie Ramsdell (Leigh); grandchildren Josephine Ramsdell, Gracie and CJ Miley.
Visitation will be 9:00am on Saturday May 6, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Garden City, SCwith afuneral mass to follow at 10:00am officiatedby Father Ed Fitzgerald.
Memorials may be sent to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
