Kathleen "Kathy" Dominick, 60, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was welcomed home by her Savior Christ Jesus, on Saturday, April 20th after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma.
Kathy was born in New York, New York on September 22, 1963. She was a 1981 graduate of Amityville Memorial High School, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and French from State University of New York at Oswego in 1985 and a Master's Degree in Education from Hollins University in 2008.
She worked in Manhattan after college at C. Itoh before moving to Virginia to start a family. She worked for the public school system for 15 years. During her career, she taught at Lynchburg Christian Academy, Roanoke City Schools, Martinsville High School and Marion High School.
Kathy had a passion for travel, speaking and teaching multiple languages, and spending valuable time with friends and family. Kathy was also an avid runner, she would run with her dog Koda every day. She also loved to cook. She created her own unique recipes, as well as making different flavors of ice cream.
She was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Lyn Kramer, granddaughter Onora Iddings and nephew Benjamin Kramer.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Joseph Dominick; her four children, Daniel Kabath and wife Christina, Rachel Kabath and son Osric Iddings, Steven Kabath and wife Claire, and Elizabeth Kabath and wife Kaitlin; her brothers Harrison Kramer; Paul Kramer and wife Susan, and her sister Audrey Caldwell and husband Rommel; and her nephews Michael and Brian Caldwell.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, May 11th at 10 am at London Bridge Baptist Church Pavilion, 2460 Potters Road, Virginia Beach, VA, 23452.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the already established GoFundMe for medical expenses. If there are funds left over, a scholarship fund will be established for Marion High School where Kathy last taught.
