Kenneth Cardell "Kenny" Mims, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020, in Murrells Inlet,SC. Kenny was born in Georgetown, SC, on June 22, 1961, to Julius Alvin "RB" Mims and Ruby Sharpe Mims McMasters. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Cecil Mims and Richard Shurling. Surviving are his sisters, Debbie Shurling of Georgetown, Cathy Shurling of North SC, and Lisa Shurling Barnes of Aiken SC; nieces Jennifer Baker, Charlene Hussey, Jamie Strickland, and Demi Shurling; nephews Cecil Mims, Jr., Tony McRae, Thomas Shurling, and Michael Shurling; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and many cousins.

Kenny loved spending time with his friends, and he made new friends wherever he went. Kenny was many things - a Christian, a storyteller, a land surveyor, and an avid music lover. He also loved gardening and taking care of his cat, Sonnie. He had a generosity of spirit that inspired everyone he met, and he was known for his dry wit, his laugh, and his dedication to his friends and family.
