Kenneth Edward Prentice, of Warren, Ohio, and Conway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully in his home on February 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family and church. He was known for his steadfast kindness.
Ken was a proud member of the Prentice family of Warren, Ohio, and carried with him a deep appreciation for his roots and heritage. Ken was employed by Kmart for over 30 years and retired as a corporate buyer.
He later made his home in Conway, South Carolina, where he became a faithful member of North Conway Baptist Church, serving on ministry teams and as a dedicated Vacation Bible School volunteer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Doris Prentice; his son, David Prentice; his siblings, Lois (Cook) Currington and Les Prentice; and many cherished family members whom he cared for deeply.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Patti Prentice of Conway, South Carolina; his cherished children, Kenneth Prentice (Debbie), Sharon Prentice (Michael), Maria Halavick (Robert), Corey Prentice, Wendy Prentice, and Anne Prentice; and other cherished children by marriage, Rich Anderson (Carolyn), Abbi Santa (Jeff), and Cori Murrell (Russell); and his sister, Doris (Vonnie) Peterson.
His grandchildren include Jason Obradovich; Alicia Curtis (Cailan); Tyler Halavick; Natalie Jadue (Michael); Ryan Halavick; Ashlynn Prentice; Cyla Prentice; Justin Thorne; Stephen Anderson; James Anderson; Max Santa (Maura); Eli Santa; and Dylan Murrell. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren.
He also leaves behind 13 nieces and nephews and 15 grand-nieces and grand-nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Agape Hospice for their Christlike compassion and tender care provided to Ken during his final days at home. Their kindness and support were a true blessing.
