Obituary

Kenneth M Waite Jr, 84 of Myrtle Beach SC, passed away peacefully at home Monday, March 13, 2023.


Born November 19, 1938 in Northampton Ma. He was the son of the late Kenneth M Waite Sr and Agnes M (Weeks) Waite. Surviving is his wife Joan R. (McIntyre) Waite and would have celebrated 56 years of marriage on May 13, 2023.


Kenneth attended Northampton Schools and DeVry School of Radio and Television in Chicago, IL. He proudly served six years in the US Army National Guard. Throughout the years Ken worked at Channel 22 in Springfield, Ma, Old Colony Paper Company in Westfield MA as a mechanic and then drove  truck for the Teamsters of Upstate NY Bakery Union. He was involved in Scouting, Serving as Scout Master in Huntington, Ma, camping, skiing, fishing, boating, hunting, golf, NASCAR, traveling and spending time with family and friends.


Surviving in addition to his wife is his sister Ellen Rockett and husband Tom of Leeds, MA. Children Gina Tacke and her husband Herb of Huntington, MA, George Rondeau and his wife Tracey of Pottsville, PA, Terri Barnes and her husband David of Clearwater, Fl, Lislie Cover and her husband Ron of Conway, SC, Anita Waite of Florence MA, Keith Waite and his wife Shannon of Porters Corners, NY, Kendra Prather and her husband Terry of Myrtle Beach, SC. Grandchildren Nicole Fiields and her husband Marques of Conway SC, Ron Cover and wife Devin of Myrtle Beach SC, Katrina Jones of Easthampton, MA, Taarna Barnes of Clearwater, FL, Samantha Smith and husband Chris of Amsterdam NY, Natalie Tacke of Huntington MA, Kayla Prather of Alexander VA, Shannon Prather and her partner Nick Menard of Myrtle Beach SC, Keith Waite Jr Porters Corners NY, Wyatt Rondeau of Pottsville PA and Keylan Waite of Porters Corners NY. Ken also had eight Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.


Along with his parents he is proceeded in death by Grandson Franklin D Waite who passed away in November 5, 1994.

Our Family would like to thank MSA hospice for their compassionate care during the last three and a half years and for Linda his nurse over the last six months.


A private celebration will be held at a later date.
