Lucille V. Kauffman (Smith), 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her daughter's home in Conway, SC on March 1, 2022. After defying all medical odds for many years, she succumbed to myelodysplastic syndrome. Before retirement, Lucille was a long-time employee of the Lebanon School District. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Lebanon, PA. With thread in hand and a thimble in her pocket, she was an active member of the Salem quilters and the Lebanon Quilters Guild as well. She was a fabulous seamstress often making masterpieces for her children and grandchildren. Lucille was predeceased by her husband Earl, her daughter Sally Lou and her son Earl, Jr. Lucille is survived by her daughters Beth Ann Jordan (Tom) of Conway, SC and Sue Kauffman (Lori) of New Cumberland, PA. Also, she is survived by grandchildren Thomas Jordan (Brittany), Nicole Bilenki (John) and Arnie Kauffman, great-grandchildren Sadie Jordan, Abigail Jordan, Jacob Bilenki and Joshua Bilenki, and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be at Fort Indiantown Gap at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 119 North 8th Street Lebanon, Pa 17046.
