Lucy Semsey, 87,of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away on Aug 14 at home after a long battle with cancer. She was bornon May 28, 1931 to Dominick and Jenny Marino. She graduated from Dumont High School in NJ. In 1950 she married Bud Semsey.who predeceased her in 1994. Together they raised their 6 childrenin Harrington Park, NJ. Sheis survived by her sonDennis and his wife Kathy, Wayne and his wife Nanci, Timmy and his wife MJ, Jeff and his wife Bonnie, and daughtersSusan Carr and her husband Kevin andDebbie Quantmeyer and her husband Allan. Along with her children, she leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.Lucy isalso survived by 8 brothers and sisters.She was a loving, caring and fun sister, aunt,mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had thegift of hospitality, always opening her heart and home to family and friends.While raising her children she also helped her husband operate their bakery, The Colonial Cake Box inRiver Vale and then Norwood, NJ.She then worked for many years as areceptionist at the Closter Medical Group. Lucy was a member of Our Lady of Victories Church in Harrington Park. She then retired to Myrtle Beach. There she enjoyed entertaining her family, cooking,reading and searching for antiques. She will be greatly missed. The family takes comfort in knowing she is at home with the Lord.
