Mary Elkins Nance, 88, of Surfside Beach, SC; entered into eternal rest on May 2, 2021.

Born in Clarkton, NC on January 15, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Elkins and Louise H. Elkins.

Preceding her in death are her husband, James M. Nance, Sr. and brothers Clarence E. Elkins, Jr; and William A. Elkins.

Surviving are her son, James M. Nance, Jr; and wife Wanda of Myrtle Beach, SC ; a daughter, Cynthia Kay Stout and grandson, William A. Stout of Surfside Beach, SC, a sister, Jane E. Bullard of Whiteville, NC and sister in law and best friend, Eunice Elkins of Clarkton, NC, along with many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She is also survived by special friend, Joann Woods.

Mrs. Nance loved spending time outdoors and gardening with her beautiful flowers. She will be remembered as a dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sunday School Teacher and a room mother to her children for many years.

She was of the Presbyterian faith and was a member of White Plains Presbyterian Church.

Grand Strand Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
