MaryJayne Cartagena, 33, passed away suddenly and peacefully at home on April 15th, 2022. She was born October 28, 1988 in Denville NJ. She lived in Boonton for 27 years before moving to South Carolina. She graduated from Boonton High in 2007.

Her career paths included hospitality, childcare and cosmetology.

MaryJayne was a traveling spirit. She moved to Longs, South Carolina because of her love of the beach. She loved to entertain her family by singing, dancing and telling jokes. She was a very loving, down to earth and playful person, who was loved by all. MaryJayne loved her family very much and had a great relationship with them. She was the caregiver for her grandmother, Judith Badillo.

She is survived and will be sadly missed by her father, Antonio Cartagena Jr, her mother, Ardith Hicks, her sister Suzette Cartagena, her brother Tony Cartagena, her nephew ,Elijah Cueto and her grandmother Judith Badillo. She will always be in our hearts, souls and will be truly missed.
