Matthew Wayne Carraway 61, went to his heavenly home, Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
Matt was born on December 31,1958 in Hemingway, SC son of the late Edward Dwight Carraway and Rebekah Altman Carraway Richburg. He was a 1977 graduate of Johnsonville High School. He served as a Sergeant in the Army/ National Guard.
He retired from working at Nuclear Power Plants across the Southeast United States and enjoyed employment in the produce department at Kroger of Surfside Beach, SC.
He leaves behind his loving spouse Kim Carraway of Surfside Beach; Siblings , Dan Carraway of Summerton, SC, Reborah Carraway Moy of Florence,SC, Tina Richburg Millard of Athens, AL, George Richburg of Manning, SC, Carolyn Richburg Williams of California and Lee Richburg of Manning, SC.
Aunts: Hannah(Al)Erwin of Florence,SC, Dru (the late, Thomas) McCrea of Kingstree, SC, Everlou (the late James)Altman of Johnsonville, SC, Phyllis Carraway King, four nephews, five nieces, two great nephews and one million cousins.
Matt was preceded in death by his brother, Dwight Carraway from Myrtle Beach SC, eleven uncles and one aunt.
Graveside services will be at Harmon Cemetery on Joy Road, Hemingway, SC at a later date TBD.
