Melinda Rae Hodge Alsbrooks,73, died Thursday, February 9,2023 at her home in Conway, SC surrounded by her family. Born October 23,1949 to the late Ada B. Hodge and Andrew "AJ" Hodge III. She is proceeded in death by her husband Marion E. Alsbrooks, 3 grandchildren: Michelle, Lillyanna, and Joseph; 3 brothers Andy, John and David.

She will be remembered as the "OG" Gma that made the best fried chicken and peach cobbler.  She is remembered as being a very loving, giving, and happy to see you person.  She loved God, her family (especially her grandkids), her animals and everyone she ever met.

She is survived by her 2 daughters; Brenda Alsbrooks-Lynn, and Katherine Melton both of Conway, Sc; 3 sons; James Alsbrooks (Linda) of Manning, Sc, Marion C. Alsbrooks of Summerton, Sc, Brian Alsbrooks (Jennifer) of Loris, Sc, 14 grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren. She has 3 sisters Carol Flowers, Deborah Morrow and Lottie Crawford. There are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and those that she adopted in heart that she loved deeply.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at her home on a date to be determined by her family.  In lieu of flowers she would like donations to be sent to The Rock for camp to give children an opportunity to learn about God.
