Michael James Dritschel, 54, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Grand Strand Medical Center. Born in Ridgefield Park, NJ, Michael is the son of the late Elizabeth Dritschel (nee Schroeder) and the late John Dritschel.

Michael was an electrician who prided himself on always doing the job the right way. Known as Mike to family and friends, he loved being the life of the party and left an impression on everyone he met. An avid angler, he passed his love of fishing to his son Justin, with whom he spent countless hours on the shore of a body of water or leaned over the edge of a boat. A dedicated fan of the New York Giants and New York Mets, he loved watching these teams play with his mother Elizabeth; his brothers Stephen, John, and Thomas; and his son.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kellie M. Dritschel of Myrtle Beach; son Justin J. Dritschel of Jersey City, NJ; stepson Brett Wilkins and his wife Nicky of Loris; stepdaughter Meghan Wilkins of Charleston; step-grandchildren Jase, Case, and Theodore; brother Stephen Dritschel and his wife Robyn of Westwood, NJ; brother John Dritschel of Ridgefield Park, NJ; brother Thomas Dritschel and his wife Christine of Ridgefield Park, NJ; sisters Patricia Palka, Nancy Hetzel, and Carol Davis, all of Pennsylvania; and numerous nephews, nieces, and dear friends.

A private memorial service will be held.
