Michael Patrick
Flanagan Jr.
September 30, 2025
Michael (Mike) Patrick Flanagan Jr, 59,of Egg Harbor Twp NJ, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Myrtle Beach SC on September 30,2025.
Born in Somers Point NJ, Mike resided in Egg Harbor Twp the 1st 54 years of his life. In high-school as a freshman he played starting offensive line for the Absegami Varsity football team. That is how big and powerful Mike was and he graduated in 1984. Mike was an amazing mechanic who could fix just about anything. In his spare time he loved building cars and engines to race, break, and build again. He also loved his Harleys, more so building them from scratch then riding them.
He retired from the Laborers Union Local 172 after 33+ years of service mostly working for AE Stone paving the roads of NJ. The love, friendship and respect for his coworkers, friends and family in NJ were always something he held dear to his heart and known with out a doubt to him that the feelings were mutual.
Mike retired to Myrtle Beach SC October 2020 with his loving wife riding EBikes up and down the coastline, surf fishing, walking the beaches looking for sharks teeth and seashells and hanging out with new found friends. Living the good life. He was loved for his enormous heart, unconditional loyalty and endless generosity in his willingness to help anyone anytime anywhere. He was also loud, funny and very protective of those he loved. He will be truly missed by all.
Mike is survived by his loving Wife Jacquelyn (Jackie) Masters Flanagan; Brothers Brian Flanagan(wife Jane), Jason Flanagan(niece Emma); very close to his Uncle George Flanagan(wife Willy); Stepson Tylor Krason(wife Brittney) and multiple Step grandbabies that adored Grandpa Mike as well as many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
