Mike was born 09/20/1954 in Raton, N.M.. His father was in the military and they traveled through out Mike's life.  Major Marion R. Ivy retired was Mike's father and his mother was Agnes Anderson Ivy. They both were from Ohio. The family settled in N.C. After graduation from high school, He played guitar and sang professionally. His group opened for Charlie Daniel's band.

Mike has brother Richard Ivy, Nancy Ivy (sister-in-law) and sister Petra Ivy Oxendine. Mike is married to Catherine Ivy in Feb. 27, 1999.

Mike has two sons, Dustin Michael Ivy from Myrtle Breach and Staff Sargent Richard Alan Ivy and Marilyn Ivy. Our grandson Michael Carrus Ivy, from Phoenix City, AL. Mike has two step-daughters. Elizabeth Van, her husband Gene Van and grandson Carter Van, granddaughter Catherine Van. Erin MacDonnell and Fiona MacDonnell and Lillian MacDonnell from N.Y. Mike loved to play music, sing and cook.

Mike worked in the nursing field from phlebotomist, ED tech., Registered Nurse.

He passed away peacefully in his home on May 19. He will be missed by those he loved and is now rocking out with the greatest musicians who have left this life too.
