Palmer Drayton (Monty) Lesley age 63, of Myrtle Beach passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, surrounded by family.  Born March 6, 1958, in Easley, SC, he was the son of Tyne and Betty Lesley.

Monty is preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Tyne, his brother Mark, brother in law Jimmy Kline and girlfriend for many years Shelly Lewis.

Surviving are his sons; Ryan Lesley (Harrisburg, PA) with wife Leah and son Crosby; Corey Lesley (Lake Mary, FL) with wife Jan and daughter Taylor; his siblings Tina Kline, Diane Parson (Lexington, SC) with husband Marvin and daughter Emily, and Scott Lesley.

Monty lived his life to the fullest. He grew up on the family farm with his 5 siblings, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.  He Attended Wren High School before he started working for the family construction business where he became well known for his finish carpentry.  Some of his work was even highlighted in magazines.  When Monty laughed it was contagious.  He was an avid sports fan who also enjoyed fishing around Murrells Inlet and hanging out with his many friends.

A celebration of Monty's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Monty's name to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, CHOP Foundation, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352, or to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 11796, Charlotte, NC 28220.

The family would like to give a special thanks to friends and family for their help, thoughts and prayers during this journey. Monty will be missed but he will not be forgotten!
