Raymond I Sperlbaum Sr., age 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, December 22, 2020 in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was the son of the late Joseph & Edith Sperlbaum.
Born in Pennsylvania, he lived there with his wife Ann and their children until retiring, then moved to Myrtle Beach, SC.
Ray was a veteran of the US Army, serving as a Sergeant in the Vietnam and Korean war. During his 9 years of time in the service he was mainly stationed in France and Alaska. Afterwards he worked in construction and commercial roofing, where he was employed with Muller Roofing Service until retirement.
Ray will be remembered especially for: His love of old western movies, repairing cars and electronics, golfing, hunting, singing in the mornings, but most of all, he will be remembered for the great love he had for his family. Ray especially loved when everyone came home for the holidays.
Surviving are his beloved wife Ann, his children; son Raymond Sperlbaum Jr. and wife Jacque of Marietta, Ga, and son Jeffery Sperlbaum and wife Cherie of New Tripoli, Pa and daughter Karen Morrison and husband Thomas of Myrtle Beach, Sc, and 3 grandchildren; Garrett Sperlbaum and Samantha Schuster, and Kristen Johnson, and 3 great grandchildren; McKinley, Colt and Case Johnson. Ray was preceeded in death by all his siblings; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Due to the current pandemic, a celebration of life will occur at a later date.
