Raymond John Tierney's Obituary
Raymond John Tierney, 86, died Wednesday, September 21st, 2016 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 16th, 1929 in Oakland, California, a son of the late Captain Raymond Tierney and Beatrice Adams Tierney.
Raymond graduated from White Plains High School in 1947 and joined the Marines as a Military Occupational Specialist, fought at the Battle of Chosin Reservoir, and was honorably discharged as Gunnery Sergeant. He worked for Con Edison from 1953 - 1995 as a Foreman inWestchester County.
He is survived by his son Bill, daughter-in-law Rosemary, and granddaughter Kailee of Myrtle Beach, SC.
A Memorial Service will be held 10 AM Friday, September 30th at the Scarsdale Community Baptist Church.
In lieu of any flowers, donations can be made to Saint Frances Animal Center in Georgetown, South Carolina.
