Obituary

Mike had a vivacious spirit and a keen sense of humor. He was always ready for a road trip. He was never one to allow life's challenges or disappointments to become a deterrent.

Mike was a self-made man, entrepreneur, builder, developer, and business man. He was the owner and developer of Williamson Mobile Home Estates and RV Park 1981 Hwy 905 Conway, SC

He was a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry at Lodge 381 in Conway and a Shriner. He was a member of the Conway Rotary and multiple recipient of the Paul Harris Fellows. He served two years in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany and was a retired S.C. Constable.

Deceased parents:  Cleo and Villon Williamson and sister: Robin Williamson Edwards

Mike is survived by his life partner of 23 years, Ruth Perry Higson.

Son:  Tony Evans of Newberry, SC and wife  Anna Kay
3 grandchildren:  Alex, Ashley, and Michael

Sister:  Renee Williamson Godwin and husband Herman Allen
Godwin, Jr MD  of Charlotte, NC

Nephews:  David Bruce Collins, Jr. and wife Jana Hertel of Wrightsville Beach, NC, John Duren Collins and partner Hannah Peele of Hillsborough, NC

Niece:  Robin Edwards Russell and husband David Russell and 5 grandnephews and grandnieces.

His favorite quote was:
"Count no day lost in which you waited your turn, took only your share, and sought advantage over no one."
