Robert James Gutow, 80, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, from complications with cancer. He was born on June 1,1944, in Prattsburgh, New York, to the late Andrew and Natalia Gutow.

Robert (Bob) grew up on a dairy farm in Prattsburgh, NY and graduated from Prattsburgh Central School. He went on to serve in Vietnam as an MP Specialist for the Army. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career at Koerner Ford of Syracuse, NY. He retired to Myrtle Beach, SC, along with his longtime partner, Caron Buckley. Bob leaves behind two daughters, Kerry (Mark) Howell and Shannon (Giffen) Trotter, from a previous marriage, five grandchildren and his brother, Gene Gutow, along with many nieces and nephews. Bob was loved very much, and he will be remembered for his wonderful smile, huge hugs, his gentle and humble manner, and love for others. He will be deeply missed.

A private memorial service with military honors will be held on February 14, 2025 followed by entombment at the North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens Military Wall.
