Bob went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Born in Syracuse, NY on July 2, 1939, Bob attended North Syracuse High School upon skipping two grades. Bob joined the Marines on July 4, 1956, where he was stationed in Hawaii. On returning to New York, he became a proud leading member of the Teamsters. Bob met his wife Dolores "Dolly" at the Mattydale Field Days, and they went on to build their home in Brewerton, NY in 1960.

Bob was a pillar in the community managing little league and being an active member of his church. Bob was always tinkering in his workshop and even built the large cross that still stands at the entrance of his Assembly of God church to this day. The Guernsey family moved to Gastonia, NC in 1988 before Bob and his wife retired to Surfside Beach, SC for his remaining 20 years of life.

Bob was best known for his sense of humor, watching westerns and his love of animals.

Bob is proceeded by his parents, Helmer and Gladys Guernsey.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife of more than 62 years Dolores Guernsey, their 5 children and 9 grandchildren.

Grandchildren, Jake Dudley, Jill Dudley, Luke Dudley, Mason Michel, Trey Michel, Eric Michel, Allie Michel, Aiden Guernsey and Jackson Guernsey.

A private service will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 at their residence in Surfside Beach.
